Description

The American Photographic Artists Guild (APAG) is an international organization comprised of professionals working in both traditional and digital environments. Its membership includes negative and print retouchers, colorists, restoration specialists, and digital artists; as well as photographers who want to remain informed on these subjects.

Founded in 1966 by a group of nineteen photographic color artists, the organization quickly grew and evolved, becoming highly respected and recognized within the photographic industry. APAG was instrumental in working with the Professional Photographers of America in developing professional standards for the industry, and in implementing the first national print competitions for its members' specialized disciplines.
