The Georgia Professional Photographers Association, Inc. is a trade organization which promotes integrity and the advancement of professional photography as a respected and honored profession. Our members are committed to artistic excellence as well as professional business practices. Continuing education is an integral part of the organization, to improve existing skills as well as nurture new ones by keeping abreast of technological advances and new photographic techniques.

10. Networking is the key to the success of small businesses. The GPPA is striving to network the more experienced photographers with the less experienced photographers to create a network of answers and insight to all challenges of our field.

9. Print Salon is another reason that the GPPA can advance your career as a photographer. This allows you to enter your work into our yearly Print Competition where we have the best of the best judges come in and critique your work. By entering this competition, you can also earn degrees.
8. Members of the GPPA can earn prestigious degrees for service, education and having prints that merit in print competition.

7. Education is very important to the members of the GPPA. We strive to offer you the newest techniques, strategies and ideas that the market has to offer. We offer the members Seminars, GA School, an annual convention and a minimum of 16 area meetings. As a member of GPPA, you are automatically a member of Southeastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA). SEPPA has a convention every other year and we are always the host state. As a member of SEPPA, you also receive a magazine 3 times a year, the Southern Exposure.

6. Our goal is to help you create a friendship that will last a lifetime. There are so many stories of photographers that have had to help out other photographer and had they not been a member and have the friends that they had, they would have lost valuable business.

5. GPPA members are very prestigious people. Our members serve on charity boards, church councils, school boards and other community activities. Our members are recognized throughout the US, as prominent and outstanding photographers.

4. The GPPA publishes Focus, a photography magazine, 3 times a year. This magazine contains articles and advertisements specifically for Georgia photographers. We also have monthly newsletter that are emailed out to the entire membership with the current happenings and the latest news that is specific to our state.

3. We offer many scholarships each year for attendance to the GA School of Professional Photography, a PPA affiliate school that is held each year at North GA Technical College. Scholarships are given for various reasons.

2. Every year at our convention, we have a two day trade show where you can find everything you need to have a successful business. We have labs, frame suppliers, photographic equipment, marketing, jewelry and so much more. Our annual trade show is an event that you do not want to miss.
