Founded in 1933, Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio, Inc. (PIA) is the largest independent insurance agents organization in the state.
PIA of Ohio represents approximately 1,300 professional independent insurance agencies across the state and their owners and employees, as well as more than 14,000 associate members who are customers of those agencies. PIA members provide the highest level of customer service to insurance consumers through the use of highly trained and knowledgeable insurance staff.
Professional Insurance Agents provide all types of property and casualty and life and health insurance, including home, auto and business. PIA also makes many cutting-edge insurance and related products available for its members to provide to their clients, such as PIA's workers' compensation group rating program, which has saved thousands of businesses millions of dollars in premiums.
PIA believes in protecting consumers and supports measures to ensure that professional insurance agents are properly educated about the important insurance products they sell. PIA is a leading provider of continuing education and designation courses for insurance professionals.
