Description

The Australian Podiatry Association (NSW & ACT) is the professional association for all NSW and ACT registered podiatrists. On behalf of its members, the Association represents the profession to Government, community and other professional bodies, as well as acting as a contact point for the public.

Podiatrists are health professionals specialising in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of disorders of the foot and the lower limb. The Podiatrist's scope of practice includes areas such as paediatrics, diabetes, sports injuries, structural problems, the treatment of the elderly as well as general foot care.

Members of the Australian Podiatry Association (NSW) practise under a strict code of ethics set by the Association and adhere to compulsory guidelines on infection control set out by the NSW Department of Health.
