The American Society for Dermatopathology was founded in 1962 to improve the quality of dermatopathology and the treatment of skin diseases.
The mission of the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) is:
1. Improving the quality of dermatopathology as practiced by the dermatologist and pathologist;
2. Aiding in the dissemination of knowledge among established dermatopathologists;
3. Teaching of dermatopathology; and
4. Encouraging research in dermatopathology and allied fields.
