Description

The aims of the Society are to promote and support the study of the kidney and urinary tract in health and disease, and to ensure the highest professional standards for the practice of nephrology in Australia and New Zealand.

The Society provides information about research grants, scholarships, and vacant nephrological positions, and annually awards a number of travel grants and research fellowships, grants and scholarships.

The Society also promotes the exchange of ideas and education between South East Asian and Australian renal units and the South Pacific region.

Member benefits

The Society offers a number of travelling fellowships on an annual basis. Awards less than the total amount of the fellowship may, on occasions be made at the discretion of Council.
The applicant must:

have been a member of the ANZSN for at least 12 months at the time of the application
be at an early stage of his/her career. However, consideration will be given to applications from older members of the Society, especially those on limited incomes
submit the application to the Honorary Executive Officer (HEO) by the date indicated below. The HEO will consider applications made at other times as dictated by the nature of the research programme or meeting to be attended.
