Description
The BRS is an umbrella organisation comprising of professional associations interested in the care of people with chronic kidney disease.
Mission / Aims
To promote clinical research and education in the subject areas of renal disease and renal replacement therapy (Renal Care).
To provide funding for research projects.
To provide a forum for discussion in Renal Care.
To provide a multi-professional group to monitor, maintain and improve standards of patient care and comfort.
Principal activities
CKD Forum together with the Renal Association to share evidence based practice, to provide leading-edge professional development and education in CKD and to collaborate with key stakeholders to influence CKD practice and policy.
To collaborate with NICE on all matters relating to renal care.
Hold a large annual conference for all professionals involved in renal care together with a large exhibition.
Research Grant Programme.
Workforce Survey.
Patient DVD together with Kidney Research UK.
