Description

Prior to 1969, the respiratory therapy community in Texas was organized in five chapters of the American Association for Respiratory Therapy. In 1969, these five chapters came together as The Texas Society for Respiratory Therapy, an affiliate of the AART. The purpose of this new society was to improve the quality of patient care, develop regional education programs, advance the science, technology, art, and ethics of respiratory care, and facilitate cooperation between various health care providers and organizations.

Member benefits

A State Member shall have all the rights and privileges of the Society and its subdivisions except those of holding the office of Delegate or Alternate Delegate or TSRC elected Executive Officer. A State Member shall not have the right to vote for the office of Delegate or Alternate Delegate.
An Active Member shall have all rights and privileges of the Society and its subdivisions. (Requires AARC member number)
Student Members shall have all rights and privileges of the Society and its subdivisions except those of holding office and voting.
Associate Members shall have all rights and privileges of the Society and its subdivisions except those of holding office and voting.
