Founded in 1987, The Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT) inc. is the national association for the translating and interpreting profession.

Mission / Aims

With a membership of around 1200 and branches in each State and Territory, AUSIT brings together T&L professionals and works to increase public understanding of the role of interpreters and translators.

The AUSIT Code of Ethics sets the standard for the profession in Australia. It has been approved by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) and major organizations.
