TMTA is a nonprofit educational organization. Founded in 1886, it is dedicated to the promotion of high quality individual and group music instructions.
Member benefits
Professional activities sponsored by local, state, and national organizations. These include the state convention and national convention, both excellent opportunities for education and enrichment. TMTA also offers numerous activities for students, including competitions, clinics, festivals, examinations, and performance opportunities.
Mission / Aims
The mission of the Texas Music Teachers Association, an affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association, is to advance the value of music study and music making in society and to support the professionalism of music teachers.
