Mission / Aims

The training, accreditation and knowledge of best practice in the area of clinical psychotherapy and associated health care.

Principal activities

Protecting the public against exploitation and malpractice of any kind by demanding the highest standards of ethics and training, and publishing information to help educate the public about psychological services.

Supporting its Members in the practice of counselling, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

Providing approved training for selected students, and post-graduate seminars and workshops for its qualified Members, ensuring continuous updating of knowledge.

Provide Members with regular news of the affairs of the Association.

Training / Licensing / Certification

NACHP offers a number of grades of membership, depending upon previous qualifications and experience. Supervision is required from members who do not reach the required criteria for Full membership.

As the UK's only charity for all three psychological disciplines, membership of the NACHP gives counsellors, hypnotherapists and psychotherapists the best opportunity to receive the support and training needed to practice successfully.
