Description

The field of marriage and family therapy is growing throughout the world and IFTA is the only organization that provides unity for therapists from east to west. IFTA is the professional association of choice for those interested in the field of marriage and family therapy.

Member benefits

Members of IFTA recieve a subscription to the Journal of Family Psychotherapy. This is the official journal of IFTA and is sent as part of the membership fee.

Additionally, Members receive the International Connection newsletter sent with updates about the organization and additional articles written by members worldwide.

Significantly reduced fees for our IFTA World Congress or IFTA International Family Therapy Conference that takes place yearly in different countries.

Mission / Aims

The cornerstone of every society is the family. With the support of its members, the International Family Therapy Association (IFTA) provides international conferences to promote, strengthen an improve the quality of family therapy, the quality of relationships within families and promotes well-being and peace within our world.

Principal activities

Provide a forum for education, training, and professional issues for family therapists from around the world. We offer international, national, and regional conferences, serve as international advocates for family therapy, help family therapy become established in emerging and growing nations, and support the dissemination of research in family therapy.

Training / Licensing / Certification

Annual International World Congress in Family Therapy, along with regional family therapy conferences.
