VAFT is a non-profit organisation managed by a volunteer Committee of Management. VAFT sponsors research in family therapy, professional development programs and has hosted national and bi-annual conferences since 1985.
In simple terms VAFT is an association of professionals with a shared interest in Family Therapy theory and practice. VAFT allows people to keep connected and up to date with what's happening in the field of family therapy through workshops, professional development, the newsletter, conferences and networking.
