British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

Description

The British Association for Counselling grew from the Standing Conference for the Advancement of Counselling, a grouping of organisations inaugurated in 1970 at the instigation of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Membership was extended to include individuals when in 1977, with the aid of a grant from the Home Office Voluntary Service Unit, the British Association for Counselling was founded.

Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Journal
Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Journal (CPR) is a quarterly journal linking research with practice. Each quarter, articles on recent research in counselling and psychotherapy are published.

BACP Information Sheets
As a member of BACP you will be able to access almost 50 BACP information sheets in the member area free of charge.
The information sheets can act as a useful guideline covering topics such as setting up in private practice, confidentiality, record keeping and online counselling.
